Applicants may apply for a permanent residence permit in Turkey, provided they meet the following requirements.
Applicants must reside in Turkey with a residence or work permit for at least 8 years without interruption. (In the calculation of the continuous eight years, half of the duration of student residence permits, as stated in Law Article 38, and the full duration of all other types of residence permits will be taken into account.)
- Applicants who have not received social assistance in the past three years
- Applicants who have sufficient and stable income to maintain themselves or support their family (if applicable).
- Applicants or their family (if applicable) must have valid medical insurance
- Applicants must not pose a threat to public order or security (except foreigners approved by the migration policies board).
Note: Refugees, conditional refugees, and subsidiary protection beneficiaries, as well as persons under temporary protection and humanitarian residence permit holders, are not entitled to transfer to a long-term residence permit.
Foreigners with a long-term residence permit may benefit from the same rights as Turkish citizens, with the exception of the following:
- The provisions of special laws,
- The compulsory military service,
- The right to vote and to be elected,
- Working for public service,
- Exemption from customs duties when importing vehicles,
Long-term residence permits of applicants who encounter the following situations may be cancelled:
- If the long-term residence permit holder stays outside Turkey for more than one year for reasons other than health, education, or compulsory public service in their country
- If the long-term residence permit holder poses a serious public security or public order threat.”

Making a preliminary examination for the residence permit application: If it is possible this process should be done while the applicants are outside of Turkey.
Note: According to the bilateral agreements between governments, there may be some restrictions on entry procedures into Turkey and some special application documents may be requested from outside Turkey.

Determining the interview date: We compare the immigration office system with the applicant’s schedule to determine the convenient date.
Eligibity checking of the application documents: the required documents list will be shared with the applicants , We will provide support at every step of the process.
Making the application at the immigration office: Our team will meet the applicant at the immigration office. (If applicants provide us with a Power of Attorney, our lawyer will accompany them.
Government fees will be paid by us, and the application file will be prepared.
Follow-up of the application process: Immigration officers will evaluate and conclude the application file within a certain period. ( Our team will access the immigration system to check the status of the application.)
If needed, our authorized lawyer will submit additional application documents to the immigration office within the determined period.
Obtaining the residence permit card: The card will be sent to the applicant’s registered address. (As a rule, the applicant or an authorized person can collect it from the relevant institution.)
