In order for the applicant to come to Türkiye as an actor, actress or film set worker, they must obtain either a visa or a work permit exemption certificate from the Turkish representation in the country where they reside.

Film / Documentary Shooting Visa:
To obtain a visa on behalf of the applicant, the Turkish Embassies or Consulates in the relevant countries must be contacted. The validity period and approval process of the visa are evaluated and finalised by the consulate and the ministry. For this reason, as RL Consultancy Trade Limited Company, we provide services to ensure that the required documents are prepared completely and professionally.
If the applicant wishes to stay in Türkiye for longer than the period specified in the film/documentary shooting visa, they must apply for a residence permit suitable for their purpose of stay. The requested residence permit period must be shorter than the duration of the production or project.
The documents required for a visa application are as follows:
Filming permit letter issued by the Ministry of Culture for the relevant production
Official references from the supporting production company
Private health insurance of the applicant
Supporting documents showing the reason for staying in Türkiye
A clean criminal record of the applicant
The applicant’s details included in the Ministry of Culture’s permit letter
The applicant must hold a valid visa consistent with the purpose of entry into Türkiye

Pre-assessment:
We conduct a preliminary assessment for the residence permit application. This should, if possible, be done before the applicants arrive in Türkiye. This is because, depending on bilateral intergovernmental agreements, there may be certain restrictions in entry procedures and additional country-specific documents may be required.
Visa eligibility:
We inform the applicant which visa type is acceptable and suitable according to their purpose of travel to Türkiye.
Appointment scheduling:
We select an appropriate date through the Directorate General of Migration Management system and arrange it according to the applicant’s schedule.
Document verification:
We share the list of required documents with the applicants and support them at every step of the process.
Application submission:
Our team meets the applicant at the immigration office. If the applicant grants us and our lawyers a power of attorney, our lawyer accompanies them. We pay the state fees and prepare the application file.
Application follow-up:
The Directorate General of Migration Management evaluates the application within a certain period. Our team regularly checks the application status through the system. If necessary, our lawyer submits additional documents within the specified timeframe.
Delivery of the residence permit card:
Once approved, the residence permit card is sent by PTT to the applicant’s registered address. The card can only be collected by the applicant or by the lawyer holding a notarised power of attorney.
